Summary: The Telecom Specialist will provide telecommunications support across the GE Appliances and Lighting business with emphasis on call center applications, toll free routing and project management.
# Essential Responsibilities Understand document & support: IVR / Telecom call routing, IVR / Telecom platform & applications, and software supporting call center activities (i.e., Genesys, NICE, etc.)
# Experienced with Avaya Communications Manager, Modular Messaging, Call Accounting, VoIP, voice services, vectoring and overall call center components.
# Demonstrated analytical ability to resolve complex telecommunications problems, along with the ability to coordinate remote support with appropriate vendors;
# Should have experience with Voice technology design, implementation and administration of enterprise Telephony systems to include Cisco and Nortel
# Develop expertise in Telecom from the 3 party provider to the actual hardware installed at the facilities, including management of contracts
# Provide vision and recommendation for call center software
# Work with local site leaders and current telecom support team
# Utilize lean six sigma to eliminate defects and reduce cycle time in the process
# Ability to build / maintain strong relationships, and possess excellent verbal / written communication skills
# Qualifications/Requirements Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computers Science, or equivalent experience
# Minimum of 3 years experience design, implementation and support of Voice Technologies
# Minimum of 2 years experience supporting a Call
# Minimum 3 years experience in telephony systems with heavy emphasis on Avaya and Cisco technologies
