Server Operating System Management provides support for Novell Netware functions on Novell Netware v5.x, v6.x by implementing standard Netware 5.x and 6.x parameter configuration and version levels. This service includes providing support of the Netware 5.x and 6x environment, including: management of file systems, log files, problem determination, administration tools, utilities, security and hardware. Systems management tools are installed to allow support to be provided locally or from a remote location. The Netware 5.x and 6.x Server Level3 resource should have five or more years advanced knowledge of the following:
Mandatory skills required:
Installation and maintenance of Novell Netware server operating system, system management software and hardware.
Netware 4.x/5.x/6.x upgrades, Migration tools, Support Pack Updates and configuration modification.
eDirectory 8.x
Novell Cluster Services
Novell and third party Remote management tools and virus detection and eradication.
Installation and maintenance of Novell integrated applications/services like iPrint, iFolder, ZENWorks, NMAS, NSure Audit, DNS, DHCP, FTP etc
Establish and maintain system configurations for sending traps to monitor platform when server events occur.
Provide level 3 problem isolation, determination and recovery of system hardware and operating system software.
Engage Hardware Vendors/Novell when required

Optional:
Install and maintain IBM applications running on Netware servers.
